Fairfields Skills Centre opened in April 2016 and is based on Homestead Farm in Queniborough.

Previously a dairy farm, Homestead Farm is now a working arable and livery farm. WHM Work Connections has utilised the Old Farm House and surrounding land.

Fairfields Skills Centre offers a range of opportunities, similar to that at Greenfields Skills Centre. Rather than focusing on moving people into the world of work, Fairfields offers a more therapeutic service

Fairfields Skills Centre is made up of indoor workshops, a training kitchen and offices as well as outdoor facilities including raised beds, barns and paddocks.

WHM focuses on addressing individual health and social care needs and ensuring that you receive a high quality and cost effective service that meets your changing needs. Our Service ensures that all primary needs are met and comprehensive support plans and risk assessments are in place.

WHM can support you to achieve certified qualifications whilst developing your skills at our Skills Centres. Having a skilled team of internal and external tutors/ assessors means that we miss no opportunity to support you to progress.

All new service users are offered a free of charge taster day and then a six week trial period in this time WHM assesses support and supervision needs, can decide upon appropriate support level needs and it enables both parties to ensure that it is the right service for the individual. Information is also gathered from the individual, parents/ carers, social workers, colleges/school (if relevant) and any health professionals involved.
