WHM Work Connections provides all staffing support required, facilities and has appointed an Enterprise Coordinator- to oversee the development of the company and to research/write grant applications. Being part of our community enterprises helps you to explore the following opportunities…
You will work together to look after the hens; collect, organise and stamp the eggs and sell them to the public
You will have opportunity to work in a Farm Shop selling produce grown at the Skills Centres and a range of handmade products produced by workmates.
Open Wednesday to Saturday each week, the Café makes and sells hot/ cold snacks, drinks and light lunches.
As part of a small group, you will be supported to run a contract gardening service; cutting grass, weeding, strimming and planting for people of the local community
A catering service running two days a week producing a range of hot meals and snacks for the workmates and staff at Greenfields Skills Centre
A car washing service run for the community
You will plan what jams, chutneys and preserves you are going to make and then sell them to the local and wider community
A sewing group which will support you to learn how to make bespoke items to sell or to order
A creative enterprise which in the past has involved natural dying and jewellery making
The group provide a saddle cleaning service, they also visit local farms to help maintain horse paddocks
Learn how to make woodwork items and use a variety of tools with our woodwork tutor. The items you make will be sold in local shops, events and can be made to order.
The aim for each enterprise is for them to become self-sufficient and for those involved to earn a shared profit
